Privacy policy
SG Commute · Last updated 27 September 2026
SG Commute has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name, email or phone number. This page explains the little data the app does handle.
Your location
If you allow it, the app uses your location to find bus stops, taxis, carparks and other places near you. To get those results, the app sends your coordinates to our server, which looks them up in public transport data. We don't build a history of where you've been or link your location to you.
You can turn location off at any time in your phone's settings. The app still works; you search for places instead.
Things you save
Saved stops, places and settings are stored only on your phone. They are not uploaded, and they're deleted when you uninstall the app.
Our server
The app gets its transport data through our server rather than directly from LTA. Like any web server, it sees your IP address and the request you made. We use this to limit abuse (too many requests from one address) and to fix problems. Server logs are not used to identify or track you, and we don't sell or share them.
Ads
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, you're asked for consent before any ads load. Google may use your device's advertising ID, IP address and general location to show and measure ads, and, if you consent, to personalise them. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads; iPhone: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking).
Children
SG Commute is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
